Reconstruction of MHE "Slap Zeta" and "Glava Zeta" by the end of this year

Preparatory works for the project of reconstruction and modernization of the small hydroelectric plants "Slap Zeta" and "Glava Zeta" are underway, which foresee their automation, and the management of the Zeta energy company claims that this does not imply the dismissal of workers.

"The planned deadline for the completion of the works on the project of these small hydroelectric plants is the end of 2019," CEO of Zeta Energy from Danilovgrad, Dragan Vlahović, told "Vijesta".

That company is doing the reconstruction together with the company ZRE - Gdansk from Poland. The contracted value of the work is around 6,83 million euros (including VAT), and after the tender was conducted in 2017, a contract was signed with the company ZRE - Gdańsk.

The procurement in question includes the production, delivery, testing, assembly, commissioning of electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment, as well as the production of accompanying documentation (main contractor and project of the executed state) for the reconstruction of the Slap Zeta and Glava Zeta MHPs.

"The reconstruction project envisages the automation of the plant, respecting the standards and legal norms", Vlahović added.

When asked by "Vijesti" whether layoffs are planned, how many workers are currently employed at Zeta energy and whether severance pay is planned for the workers who will be laid off and in what amount, Vlahović replied that this "company and the employees' trade union organization have an agreement that guarantees regular wages, a positive trend in the employment of young staff, as well as the planned dynamic of only voluntary departure from the company with a defined severance pay".

"So, according to the organization plan of the company, after the process of reconstruction and modernization, no layoffs are planned. Our employees were informed, during joint meetings, about the company's activities, as well as the reconstruction process of the "Slap Zeta" HPP and the "Glava Zeta" HPP," concluded Vlahović.

According to available data, the Danilovgrad company Zeta energy had 2016 employees in 27, 2017 in 25, and 21 last year.

The majority owner of Zeta energy is Elektroprivreda Crne Gore with 51 percent ownership, while 49 percent is owned by NTE Montenegro.

There are about 20 employees.
