The Municipal Police and Inspection Service of the Municipality of Herceg Novi has so far issued around twenty fines for non-compliance with the decision on the prohibition of construction works in the summer period.
Fines were issued to persons who, even after June 15, carried out construction work in the area of the first zone, without having a permit for it.
The first zone includes: construction land by the sea, which is defined on the land side by a line that starts from the state border at Cape Kobila and goes under the upper Njivički road to the intersection with the Adriatic highway, near the Čeprnjić bend, then the area under the Adriatic highway to the sea and 300 meters of aerial lines above the northern side of the Jadranska magistrala, up to the territorial border of the municipality of Herceg Novi in Kamenari.
Fines for illegal construction amount to 500 to 10 thousand euros for a legal entity, and for a natural person from 30 to XNUMX thousand euros.
The President of the Municipality, Stevan Katić, approved the execution of works even during the period of the ban, by the companies "Azmont Investments", which is building the tourist complex Portonovi, "Imperio Holdings Limited" and "Carine", because it was assessed that these are projects of interest to the municipality and the state.
The company "Imperio Holdings Limited", which is building an annex of the tourist complex "Lazure Hotel & Marina" in Meljina, was approved to carry out works in the interior of the building and on the installation of facade joinery.
The company "Carine" was approved to perform works related to the construction of a hotel in Kumbor until July 10.
The owner of "Carina", Čedo Popović, said about fifteen days ago that the hotel will be completed by July 15.
Works on the renovation of the roof of the school in Kamenari and the facade of the fixed culture hall of the school in Bijela were also made possible, taking into account the fact that these works should be completed by the beginning of the school year, and that the construction ban is in effect until September 1.
Trucks continue to unload construction waste into the sea
The Municipal Police and Inspection Service of the Municipality of Herceg Novi received a complaint from Kumbor residents that trucks unload construction waste into the sea even at night.
The application was forwarded to the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (MORT) and the Public Enterprise for the Management of Marine Assets for further processing.
JP Morsko had previously announced that it was incompetent, and "Vijesti" from MORT did not receive an answer after half a year as to whether the company "Carine" has permission to fill the sea in Kumbor.
