The American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham) elected today new members of the Board of Directors and presented last year's financial results at the session of the General Assembly held today in Podgorica.
As announced by AmCham, the new members of the Board of Directors are: Sanja Ćalasan (Trebjesa Brewery), Mladen Grgić (RE/MAX Montenegro), Branko Mitrović (Telenor Montenegro), Nebojša Šćekić (Sava osiguranje) and Predrag Lešić (doMEn).
In her opening address, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Katarina Bulatović, said that the Chamber contributed to understanding and better dialogue between state institutions and the private sector.
"We are focused on creating opportunities, but also on solving challenges. In this regard, this year we published our new Business Environment Report 2017-2018, in which we point out the current business challenges faced by member companies, and offer possible solutions", said Bulatović.
As an organization that is primarily based on membership, we try, emphasized Bulatović, to provide value to members and attract new ones, adding that she is particularly pleased that the Chamber is actively engaged in the promotion of socially responsible business, which aims to improve social environment for every citizen of Montenegro.
The US Ambassador to Montenegro, Judy Reising Rajnke, said in her address to the members of AmCham that she was looking forward to cooperation with the new members of the Board.
"Together, we can mobilize collective resources to achieve goals. I wish the new Board members much success in accepting this new challenge. Under your leadership, AmCham will play a key role in Montenegro in the years to come," said Ambassador Rajing Rajnke.
AmCham Montenegro is a business association, founded in 2008, which currently gathers 83 American, international and domestic companies in Montenegro. The Chamber is dedicated to improving the business environment in order to attract American and other foreign investments.
