For the sixteenth time, NLB Montenegro bank has offered for sale the property of the Montenegrin ambassador to the Vatican, Miodrag Vlahović, and his business partner, Niko Raičević, director of the elementary school "Dr. Dragiša Ivanović" in Podgorica.

Their debt now amounts to more than two million euros, and the bank is selling property in Herceg Novi, i.e. Bijela - a 4.600 square meter plot of land under forest and orchards.

Vlahović and Raičević are half owners of the property, and in 2007 they raised a loan of 1,15 million euros, which is why they mortgaged real estate in Bijela. NLB Bank has been trying for years to collect its debts, because they did not settle their obligations.

As "Vijesti" wrote, the ambassador to the Holy See is the only one of his colleagues who does not have property records in the registry of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, which is why it is not known what kind of property he has at his disposal.

He was not even on the Agency's website yesterday, and since assuming the position of ambassador on October 2017, XNUMX, as "Vijesti" wrote, he had to submit the property certificate at least three times.

According to the Law on Prevention of Corruption, he should have done this for the first time within 30 days from the day he assumed the position of ambassador. The second time to deliver it by the end of March last year for the year 2017, and the third time by the end of March this year for the year 2018.

In the event that in the meantime there was an increase in his property by more than 5.000 euros, Vlahović was obliged to submit an extraordinary property card to the Agency within 30 days.

The Agency found a violation of the Law only in the first case.

On April 15 of last year, Vlahović informed the Agency in writing that he "forgot the obligation" to submit the property certificate upon assuming the position of ambassador and that he believed "it will not be a problem if he submits it by April XNUMX."

However, according to the registry, he did not fulfill that promise.
