The Central Bank, the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, as well as all other institutions that have this in their job description, should find out who is behind the company "Mia Investments" and investigate the origin of the money it brings into Montenegro, and the Government should answer that Marko Gvozdenović, the son of the Vice-President of the Montenegrin Parliament and the former Minister of Sustainable Development, Branimir Gvozdenović, represented the company "Mia Investments", which was formally founded by Turkish businessmen, at the talks in the Government.
This is stated in the open letter of the Democrats of Budva, submitted to "Vijesti", in which they called on the current minister of sustainable development, Pavle Radulović, and the chief state architect, Dušan Vuksanović, to disclose to the public who was at the meetings in front of that company.
They called on the Central Bank, the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, as well as all other institutions that have this in their job description, to find out who is behind the company and investigate the origin of the money that "Mia Investments" brings into Montenegro.
"Mia Investments" plans to build 8.500-story single-family houses on the plot in front of the Adriatic Fair, with an area of 15 square meters, that is, a hotel-apartment complex worth 50 million euros.
It is about the plot of land registered to the company "Safiro beach", for which the fugitive businessman Duško Knežević claims that the elder Gvozdenović and the president of the state and the ruling DPS Milo Đukanović own, which they denied.
The Democrats sent the public letter at a time when the company "Mia investments" again submitted a request for approval of the conceptual solution to the chief architect of Budva, Ana Samardžić, who rejected them a few months ago, and her solution was confirmed by the Ministry of Sustainable Development, which requested for Turkish businessmen to change the conceptual solution.
Democrats of Budva have called on the Central Bank to reveal who is behind the company "Mia investments", which investors from Turkey claim to be theirs.
"Given that "Mia Investments" sent a new request for consent to the construction of apartments for the market at Slovenska Beach and that no institution in the country responded to numerous publicly raised issues and controversies surrounding that location and the company "Mia Investments" and "Safiro Beach", we once again invite the Central Bank, the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, as well as all other institutions that have this in their job description, to investigate the origin of the money that "Mia Investments" brings into Montenegro. Also, there is one the number of reports submitted related to the location in question and the suspicious way in which it came into the ownership of an offshore company. So, it is a company with hidden owners, so we ask that the criminal reports in question be finally acted upon. Of course, we ask everyone to come forward with the knowledge they have came to meet the interested public", it is stated in the letter delivered to the editorial office of "Vijesti".
The Democrats of Budva, who are the strongest ruling party, called on Minister Radulović and Chief State Architect Vuksanović to disclose who represented "MIA Investments" at several meetings held in MORT.
"First of all, to answer the question whether Mr. Marko Gvozdenović, son of Branimir Gvozdenović, represented "MIA Investments" at the mentioned meetings. Furthermore, since the President of the Municipality Marko Bato Carević practically announced that "MIA Investments" will submit a new request before has been submitted, it is possible that he is also in possession of information that the public is interested in, so we invite him to publicly present his knowledge about the background of the entire project," the Democrats conclude.
The Turks say that there is no Gvozdenović in the company
The executive director of "Mia investments" Habip Arikan previously told "Vijesti" that they do not do business with Montenegrin politicians and that the Gvozdenovićs are not behind that company.
Asked to answer who are the owners of the company "Mia investments", that is, who is behind the companies that have 66 percent of the capital - the London companies Feelife Limited, Lowell Resources Limited and Corpes Properties Limited, whose founders are based in the British Virgin Islands, Arikan said that these are exclusively his long-time friends and business partners Murat Kader and Ozan Sener and no one else.
"Mia investments" is us, three partners, longtime friends, who together develop business in the world. Kader is the best architect in Turkey, and Sener is the owner of one of the largest construction companies in Turkey, "Sener Group". The three companies mentioned on the Virgin Islands, the companies of each of us are three business partners, and that is the only truth. The Central Bank asked me who the owners are, I brought all the documents about who the owners are, and there are no secrets," said Arikan for "Vijesti" recently.
