The Committee for Evaluation and Evaluation of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) has a deadline of 90 days for the evaluation and selection of the most favorable of the three received offers for the ecological reconstruction of the Thermal Power Plant (TE) in Pljevlja.

Three bids were opened on October 14, which means that the procedure for selecting the most favorable bid must be completed no later than mid-January of the following year.

Director of Development at EPCG Ivan Mrvaljević, recently during the presentation of the company's plans for the next few years, hinted at the possibility that the bidder for the ecological reconstruction of the TPP will be selected by the end of this year. He explained that during 2020, the main project for the ecological reconstruction of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant will be created, and during 2021 and 2022, the procurement of equipment and the execution of works.

An offer worth EUR 54.427.700 including VAT was made by a consortium consisting of the Chinese "DEC International", "Bemax" from Podgorica, BB "Solar" co-owned by the son of the Montenegrin president, Blaž Đukanović, and the company "Permonte". The offer of 72.539.500 euros including VAT was sent by the German-Slovenian consortium "Hamon-Rudis", and the most expensive offer was submitted by the Chinese group "Shangai Electric" from Shanghai and it amounts to 97.922.683 euros.

The open procedure for the reconstruction of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant was announced on July 11 of this year after the EPCG Board of Directors made the Investment Decision. It is also significant from the aspect of providing a source of thermal energy for the heating of Pljevlja.
