Digitization without a key transformation of awareness, ways of doing business and knowledge and skills cannot be sufficient for progress in the fast-paced modern world, announced the Minister of Public Administration, Suzana Pribilović.
At the second digital summit DigitalOn, entitled Digital transformation - business opportunity of Montenegro, she said that the Ministry of Public Administration, in the process of digital transformation, is trying to strengthen the cooperation of the economic sector and the Government, first of all, with the people who are the leaders of the digital transformation in Montenegro. "At this moment, digital transformation is becoming one of the most important tasks of society as a whole, in which all participants must be aware that digitization without a key transformation of our consciousness, way of doing business, knowledge and skills cannot be sufficient for progress in the fast-paced modern world," she said. Pribilović at the summit organized by the Board for Digital Transformation of the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM).
The Ministry announced that the processes of digital transformation, i.e. its complete implementation, are full of challenges.
"They are reflected, perhaps most, in the insufficient readiness of citizens to change in the digital world, as well as the insufficient readiness for changes within the public administration. However, the willingness of Montenegrin companies to adopt the changes it brings and to be an example to the public administration with their way of doing business is extremely important," added Pribilović.
She added that the Ministry is continuously working on creating a digital society development policy within its jurisdiction.
"The fact that other ministries are increasingly achieving results through the implementation of important IT systems in the areas of justice, health, and tax policy is encouraging. It remains for us to work together to ensure that these IT solutions are the driving force behind changes in the way public administration operates, and not just software for recording information and data," said Pribilović.
The Minister of Science, Sanja Damjanović, announced that in the previous two years, this government department had a significant stimulating role in jointly defining development directions based on science and innovation.
"In June of this year, the government adopted the Smart Specialization Strategy, which identified strategic and perspective branches of our economy that, through innovation and new technologies, have a chance to become more competitive and to create new values and products on the domestic and international markets," she stated. is Damjanović.
She recalled the programs of the Ministry of Science, which are aimed at realizing the goals of the S3 strategy, and which encourage the development of new products, digital as well as others, which will offer the economy better, more efficient, cheaper and more environmentally friendly solutions.
The creators of these innovations will, thanks to the new products, achieve business growth and employment.
"The Montenegrin innovation ecosystem is yet to show the full strength of the creativity and abilities of our people, which we have no doubts about," said Damjanović.
The president of AMM, Budimir Raičković, said that digital and new technologies, apart from being important for the sharing of information, also imply that everyone should be humane, united and united.
"Our desire is the synergy of all those working on this, and that means state institutions, local administrations, companies and the non-governmental sector, because digital transformation is a process that initially requires a change in the way of thinking," Raičković concluded.
