The shareholders of Elektroprivreda (EPCG) will be paid a dividend in the gross amount of 36 cents per share for the past year, for which a total of 38,27 million euros has been allocated.

The board of directors of EPCG made a decision to set aside 48,6 million from the undistributed profit of the company of 38,27 million euros for the payment of dividends for the past year.

"These funds will be allocated for payment to shareholders in proportion to their participation in the ownership structure and will be realized within 30 days from the day of the decision", announced EPCG.

The board once again noted the company's good operations, and such results additionally strengthened the adoption of the decision on the EPCG investment plan until 2024.

"The plan, in addition to the modernization of existing facilities, defines the construction of much-needed sources of electricity along with the diversification of production from renewable sources. It was defined that the priority of development in the coming period is the production of electricity from renewable sources, above all from the sun and wind," the statement added.

EPCG said that the final preconditions are being created for the realization of the project to build the Gvozd wind farm on the Krnov plateau worth 60 million euros and start its work at the end of 2022, as well as the construction of the Briska Gora solar power plant near Ulcinj worth over 200 million euros.

"In the adopted plan, the construction of the Komarnica hydroelectric power plant (HE) with a capacity of 155 megawatts (MW) is defined, and the value of the project is around 300 million euros. As part of the valorization of the hydropower potential of the lower reaches of the Piva River, the construction of HPP Kruševo is also planned," EPCG added.

The plan also precisely defines capital investments in the revitalization and modernization of existing power plants, which ensures high operational readiness, operational reliability and security in the supply of all consumers.

"Investments in those facilities have already begun, and in the coming period EUR 60 million will be invested in HPP Perućica, while EUR 15 million will be invested in HPP Piva," the announcement specifies.

The adopted investment plan also defines the environmental reconstruction of the Thermal Power Plant (TE) Pljevlja, worth 45 million EUR.

The signing of the contract for the execution of works, for which the Board of Directors gave the green light, is expected by the end of the year.

In the meantime, work on the reclamation of the landfill in Maljevac, worth 20 million euros, has also begun.

"The intention of EPCG is to maintain the same course of development and investment in the next decade within the framework of the investment plan, which implies a comprehensive investment of over 700 million euros," the announcement concludes.
