The Ministry of Defense will soon announce a public call for the long-term lease of a part of the military airport in Golubovci, after a special land plot of 4.262 square meters that will be leased was previously formed.
Adriatik properties, owned by Greek businessman Petros Statis, is interested in that location, and he wrote to the government about it.
The long-term lease of part of the land located at the military airport in Golubovci is carried out in accordance with the law on state property, based on the Government's conclusion from December last year.
The department headed by Minister Predrag Bošković told "Vijesta" that, according to the Government's conclusion, together with the Ministry of Finance, they formed a commission that will lease the property to the state.
"The preparation of the public announcement is in the final stage, and after its completion it will be published in the media, as well as on the website of the Ministry of Defense. We hired an authorized geodetic agency that prepared an elaboration on the subdivision of cadastral plot 541/1 KO Golubovci, which formed a new cadastral plot 541/14, with an area of 4.246 square meters, which will be subject to long-term lease. The Real Estate Administration has assessed the value of the land subject to lease, on the basis of which the commission will determine the initial price for lease. The price will be specified in to the public call for leasing", said the Ministry.
Adriatik properties, which is the lessee of Sveti Stefan, Miločer and Kraljičina beach, wrote in its request to the Government, i.e. the Ministry of Defense, that it wants to improve the service it provides to its guests and that they are interested in investing in VIP air transport and the purchase of helicopters.
Given that they need a high-standard hangar for that purpose, which would be used to store aircraft and equipment, they expressed an interest in leasing a part of the plot at the Golubovci military airport so that they could set up a hangar, which after the lease term expires remained the property of the state. The lease period would be for 30 years.
The income from the lease will go to the budget of the Ministry of Defense
The income generated from the long-term lease will go to the budget of the Ministry of Defense, and the modality of paying the monthly lease will be defined in the lease agreement.
"In accordance with the Government's conclusion, through the tender documentation for the lease of real estate, the possibility is foreseen for the tenant at the Golubovci military airport to build a steel hangar for the needs of the Army of Montenegro, with the agreed rental price being reduced by the value of the newly built hangar, which would be determined Real Estate Administration".
