When the official data of Monstat and the Tax Administration on the number of employees are compared, it is found that about 40.000 employees are in the gray economy zone, that is, that their employers do not pay them taxes and dorpinos, announced today the representative of the Social Democratic Party (SD) and Raško Konjević in to the parliament after the Minister of Finance Darko Radunović, in response to a parliamentary question, gave him data on salary payments in the net amount.
"These are the data of the Tax Administration from May of this year and we are talking about net earnings. 250 employees received a salary of up to 59.753 euros, 250 employees from 400 to 33.920 euros, 401 employees from 500 to 19.254 euros, 501 employees from 700 to 27.285 euros, from 701 to 1.000 euros, 13.557 employees and over 1000 euros, 10.112 employees," said Radunović.
Konjević said that according to Monstat, there are 200.000 employees, and the Government has 160.000 employees, which means that about 40.000 are in the shadow economy zone and that taxes and contributions are not paid for them.
"Out of the total number of employees, about 111 live with a salary of up to 500 euros and 60.000 live with a salary of up to 250 euros. Roughly 82.000 employees or 50 percent live with an income of up to 400 euros, and this is a picture of how our citizens live. This is the real social status of our of citizens. The gray economy recognized by the state is at the level of 40.00 employees, and it is evident that it is also found among these 60.000 who receive up to 250 euros, because part of it is given to them," said Konjević.
