Bankers receive instructions from the Central Bank of Serbia on stopping loan installments

The top of the Central Bank of Montenegro will meet with representatives of Montenegrin banks today, most likely at 13:XNUMX p.m., to discuss in detail the urgent implementation of the decision of the Central Bank of Montenegro on the moratorium on loans.

At the meeting, among other things, they will discuss mandatory reserves...

According to the decision of the CBCG, published last night in the Official Gazette, the suspension of loan repayments for three months applies to all citizens and business representatives who wish to do so.

Citizens who contacted certain banks today were informed that this does not apply to all, but only those at risk and already affected by the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic.

The CBCG informed "Vijesti" that the decision had been made, and soon they gave precise instructions to the banks on how to implement it urgently.

The CBCG confirmed that the moratorium applies to all citizens, explaining that the next phase may include those additionally affected by the current crisis.

The explanation is that it would apply after three months of moratorium.

In the supreme monetary institution, they point out that the second phase would refer to the submission of evidence of dismissal, irregularity, salary reduction of 20 percent or more... but after all citizens who want to receive the right not to repay loan installments for three months.

Certain banks have sent messages to users not to come to the branches now, due to the delay in loan installment payments for 90 days...

"Soon we will have more precise information on how to submit the request. We assure you that you will not be harmed in any way".
