The bankruptcy administrator of the company Galenika Montenegro, Veselin Perišić, sold the company's former factory in Zagarač (Danilovgrad Municipality) to investors who applied for the tender of Prijestonica Cetinje for the lease of real estate in the former Obod, "Vijesti" has learned.
The consortium consisting of the Canadian company Eviana Health Corporation and Montenegrin companies - Montenegro Bio Science and Ramel, announced at the time from Prijestonica, will deal with the cultivation of industrial hemp and the extraction of CBD oil (cannabidiol) from its flower.
"Vijesti" sources claim that hemp for medicinal purposes will also be processed in Zagarač, as well as that a representative of the investor from the company Montenegro Bio Science negotiated the lease of the factory with Perišić. The tenant was allegedly previously interested in buying that factory.
To whom, when and under what conditions this part of Galenika's assets in bankruptcy was issued has not yet been answered by the Commercial Court, to whom "Vijesti" yesterday sent questions on that topic for the bankruptcy judge in the case, Blaž Jovanić, and the bankruptcy administrator Veselin Perišić.
On February 11, Perišić announced the sale of the former pharmaceutical factory in Zagarač and several other business premises of Galenika, but Jovanić accepted the objection of the financial institution Het, the main creditor in the bankruptcy proceedings, and ordered the manager to postpone the second sale of that part of the property.
According to the ad, the estimated movable and immovable assets of Galenika in Zagarač amounted to 817.805 euros, and the initial selling price was 654.244 euros.
Heta claims 2,7 million from Galenika due to an unreturned loan, of which about 1,8 million was recognized, and a lawsuit was filed for 900.000 euros of interest. Galenika has been in bankruptcy since July 8, 2019 at the request of the Tax Administration due to a debt for taxes and contributions of about 2,6 million euros. Creditors reported that the company owed them a total of about nine million.
