The state budget will cost around 18 million euros to continue the three-month subsidization of the wages of the employed part of the economy, those who are in quarantine/self-isolation and on paid leave due to the measures, and for new employment - the estimate is within the third package of measures, "Vijesti" learns.
It is planned that subsidies of 50 to 100 percent of the minimum gross salary will be for July, August and September. 16,2 to 18 million euros will be set aside for salary assistance.
It is anticipated that the state will contribute to the wages of around 25.000 employees.
Today, the government will present new rehabilitation and development economic measures, exactly three months after the adoption of the second part of support to citizens and the economy due to the corona crisis.
State participation
Extended subsidization of the full minimum gross salary (222 euros per employee and the employer is exempted from the duty of 142 euros) is provided for closed businesses (restaurants whose work is prohibited, kindergartens...).
The subsidy for registered employees in the tourism sector and new employment amounts to 70 percent of the minimum wage (155 euros per employee and 100 euros less duties to the employer).
From the budget of all taxpayers, the subsidization of wages for catering and road transport will continue with 50 percent of the minimum wage, which is 111 euros per employee, and the employer is exempted from duties for 71 euros.
In the category of assistance for half of the minimum wage, there are also payments for employees in quarantine and self-isolation and for those who are on leave for looking after children up to seven years of age due to the measure to close kindergartens due to the suppression of the coronavirus epidemic.
The Ministry of Economy announced that around 65 employees received subsidies through the second package of measures and that they were paid to 15 companies, for which around 33 million euros were needed.
This referred to salaries for April and May.
In June, the subsidies were extended and by the middle of this month, about four million were paid for the subsidies of part of the June earnings for the sectors of tourism, catering and passenger transport.
The second state support package for April and May is worth 46 million euros with a gross effect of 75 million.
Part of the measures was extended for June.

The Government responded to complaints about the delay of the third economic package, which the government will promote before the parliamentary elections, that they "closely followed and analyzed the developments in the economy in order to come up with adequate measures".
