Bojan Đakonović, the former longtime director of the Hotel "Olimpik" on Velika Plaža and a graduate in tourism, has been appointed acting director of HTP Ulcinj Riviera, "Vijesti" has learned.
Đakonović replaced Radomir Zec in that position, who, according to unofficial information, has qualified for retirement.
Đakonović, who is a high-ranking official of the Ulcinj DPS and head of the committee club in the local parliament, will in the coming period manage the nudist settlement on Ada, which, besides the Neptun car camp, is the only one left in the composition of the former giant, HTP Ulcinjska Riviera.
Zec replaced the former bankruptcy administrator Miomir Jakšić as the first man of the Ulcinj hotelier, after the company emerged from bankruptcy 12 years ago.
At the time, the Ulcinj Riviera included the Olimpik and Belvi hotels on Veka beach, but since 2017 they have been operating within the Holiday Village Montenegro hotel complex. The complex is managed by the company Karisma, which then took the hotels of the Ulcinj Riviera from the Government and the management of HTP on a thirty-year lease.
At that time, Zec became famous because he obtained high severance payments for workers that reached several tens of thousands of euros, which were paid from the state budget.
From the moment he assumed the position of director of this state-owned company, Zec took full control not only of the company, but also of the trade union, the PR department...
He did not hesitate to criticize some of the government's moves when it came to Ulcinj.
Thus, he claimed that unsuccessful and missed privatizations are the biggest problem of tourism in that municipality, and he called the demolition of the Galeb Hotel a crime. He also indirectly criticized the Public Enterprise for the Management of the Marine Asset because of the houses on the island, pointing out that their owners are destroying the offer of the Ulcinj Riviera.
Zec persisted in the legal battle that HTP Ulcinjska Riviera has the right to charge entrance fees to the island. He did not give up on that even when the tourist inspection once asserted that the Law on Tourism does not allow the entrance fee to Ada Bojana.
At that time, he said that the Ulcinj Riviera has the right to charge the entrance fee, because, as he claimed, the entire property of Ada is her property, as well as the road, bridge and lighting
