The company Nino Design from Nikšić is part of the support program NLB Bank #OkvirPomoći through which they received a free advertising campaign that helped them a lot during the corona crisis, that the wooden furniture that came out of this workshop was known all over Montenegro, evaluated by Nino design.

They produce high-quality wooden furniture, and are recognized for their traditional Montenegrin dining table and table, as well as the ligeshtula with which they furnished many beaches and bars throughout Montenegro, as well as solid wood beds.

Until the end of the year, Nino design has provided a 15% discount on all orders on these products (table and dining table set, ottoman, wooden bed) instagram profile.

When he decided 12 years ago that he had enough knowledge and experience to start a private business, Nikola Gutović, the owner of the company Nino design from Nikšić, with the help of his father, hand-built furniture making machines.

From a small artisan workshop, putting a lot of love, effort and expertise into each product, he developed a company that is engaged in the production of unique furniture for interiors and exteriors, which adorns numerous homes, restaurants, and gardens.

The hardworking hands of four employees at Nino design make furniture from massive, panel materials and a combination of these materials.

"We are a team that talks little, but has a great mutual understanding," emphasizes the owner of the company, Nikola Gutović, who is also the chief foreman in the company. He said that in business they pay a lot of attention to the clients' requirements when it comes to design, and that they complement the customers' wishes in terms of appearance with structural solutions that make the furniture high-quality and durable.

He and his colleagues, as he said, bring themselves, their love and expertise as much as possible into each product.

Their work has recently been made easier because the workshop has been modernized with 4 Italian-made woodworking machines that will enable the production of furniture according to modern standards.

In the range of products, Nino design highlights the coffee table, which is an authentic piece of furniture and is found in almost all old Montenegrin houses. "We modernized it and made a stylish chair from a dining table, so I would single out a set of dining tables and a dining table as my favorite product," adds Gutović.

Gutović regretfully told us that in principle they had an agreement with a Croatian company, which intended to take over Nino design products in order to place them in Bauhaus stores throughout Croatia, but everything was stopped at the beginning of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The volume of work has decreased by 80 percent compared to last year, according to this company. Gutović believes that because of this situation, more attention should be paid to the promotion of domestic producers.

"Furniture imports are huge. For 2008, according to his knowledge, it reached some 80 million euros. "We are small family businesses or craft shops that have grown into some companies, but which very often deal with competition in the form of imported furniture," said Gutović.

When it comes to the quality of furniture, as he said, Nino design is not behind even foreign manufacturers. Comparing the price of furniture produced in Nino design and that which can be bought in salons, Gutović said that the price is slightly higher. The reason is that small producers have a higher purchase price of raw materials compared to large ones, which through the volume of procurement get a more favorable price. The product is a bit more expensive, but Nino design explains that they can boast of a higher quality of workmanship.

The Nino design team is characterized by fighting spirit, and how the situation will unfold in the following period depends on the purchasing power of the domestic and foreign markets. "If there is a demand, we will be successful, and if it is denied, then it will not be good," concludes Gutović.

He pointed out that the support of NLB Bank, in the "Help Framework" project, came at the right moment and that until now he had not had the opportunity to be supported in that way.
