The public competition for the director of the Insurance Supervision Agency (ANO) received three applications that will be considered by the ANO Council next week and the list of candidates will be determined. The selection of the new director will be completed by January 16, because the current director Biljana Pantović's mandate is expiring. This was officially answered by the President of the ANO Council, Uroš Andrijašević, to the "News".
Those who applied for the position of director did not respond because the "applications were enveloped" until the Council session.
On December 4, the Council of the Agency announced a competition for the election of the director of ANO for a period of four years.
"On December 4 of this year, the Council of the Agency announced a public competition for the appointment of the director of ANO, in accordance with the legal and statutory competences, as well as the internal procedure for employment in the Agency. The competition lasted 15 days, ending with Saturday, December 19. Regarding the contest, three timely applications arrived in envelopes that have not yet been opened. The Council will decide on the completeness of the application at a session, in the presence of all Council members, next week, when the list of candidates who have submitted complete documentation will be determined. Immediately after the session, the Council will introduce the list of candidates and their basic biographical information to the public," Andrijašević said.
He added that, after the New Year and Christmas holidays, the Council will interview the candidates who submitted the required documentation in a timely manner.
"Given the fact that the mandate of ANO director Biljana Pantović ends on January 16, 2021, the Council will make a decision regarding the competition before that date," Andrijašević said.
Biljana Pantović was elected director of ANO for two terms.
