The government adopted the draft Law on games of chance, the deadline for the completion of the highway to Mateševo ​​will be known by January 20

What will be the new deadline for the completion of the Podgorica - Mateševo ​​highway section and whether and how much the Government will have to pay to the Chinese CRBC in the name of extraordinary costs will be known by January 20, when the project engineer should make that decision, he writes. and information about the implementation of this project, which was adopted by the Government today.

The second deadline for completing the work was September 30, but CRBC requested another delay and additional costs.

Earlier, former Minister of Transport Osman Nurković announced that the new deadline could be June next year, and Monteput recently announced that the completion of the works could only be expected in the fall of next year.

The information also states that 92 percent of the works on this section have been completed so far, which is only two estimates more than at the end of last year.

Today, the government also adopted the draft Law on Games of Chance with a proposal for a public debate that starts after the holidays.

In December 2018, former finance minister Darko Radunović signed an agreement with his colleague from Slovakia, according to which this country finances the development of a new law on games of chance and the improvement of technical supervision of organizers of games of chance with a non-refundable donation of one million euros.

The Slovak side immediately fulfilled its part of the obligations and paid half a million euros to the Montenegrin ministry, and the rest was to be paid when the Montenegrin side fulfilled its part of the obligations. At that time, Montenegro undertook to adopt the Law on Games of Chance by October 31, 2019 and to prepare technical IT specifications for monitoring income from the organization of games of chance, which did not happen. The deadline was changed twice, and the last one was December 31 of this year.

The government has extended the deadline for oil and gas exploration in the Montenegrin seabed to the Eni-Novatek consortium by six months, due to justified reasons arising from the coronavirus pandemic.
