The Swiss airline, Chair Airlines, will introduce direct flights from Zurich to Podgorica from April, two to four times a week.
Chair Airlines said that the Arbus A319 aircraft with 150 seats will fly on that route.
The representative of the company, Michele Muller, said that they are glad that they included Montenegro in the flight regime this summer and thus reconnected it with Switzerland.
"As we continue to develop our portfolio of destinations, our goal is to provide travelers with the best connectivity. When evaluating which destinations to launch, we first of all look for the ones most in demand among travelers," said Muller.
The company expects that the new flights will maintain the connection of Montenegro with one of the most important markets and thus help tourism.
The line will also help Montenegrins living in Switzerland to visit family and friends.
Chair Airlines was founded in 2019. The airline currently operates from Zurich with three Airbus A319 aircraft with 150 seats each, and employs 150 people in the cabin, cockpit and administration.
