Raičković is still at the head of the Association of Managers of Montenegro

The current president of the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM), Budimir Raičković, will perform this function for the next four years.

At the election Assembly of AMM, Zoran Savić was elected as deputy president, and Jovan Boljević as president of the Supervisory Board.

The function of the President of the Assembly was entrusted to Slavoljub Popadić.

Marijana Kadić Bojanić, Aleksandra Radojević, Vinko Nikić and Radovan Radulović were elected vice-presidents.

The Executive Board will include Anđela Radosavović, Ana Martinović, Vladan Tabaš, Nemanja Nikolić and Arsenije Boljević.

A new composition of the AMM Board of Directors was also elected.

Raičković, among other things, pointed out:

"The environment in which we live and work is, in a word, unhealthy, not only from the aspect of health, when we have come to a situation where we only note the numbers of the dead and infected and we fear what measures will be taken, as well as how much this will affect our economy , but also from all other aspects, including political and security aspects," said Raičković, addressing the delegates.

He pointed out that one cannot talk about economic recovery, let alone economic development, if there is no stability, predictability and security.

"Perhaps we don't need a total lockdown, because it is economically very bad, but we should think about finally respecting the measures and being disciplined and indiscriminate when it comes to the penal policy for non-compliance, and maybe we are too late for that," Raičković said.

He appealed to all decision-makers and actors on the social and political scene of Montenegro to be aware of the moment in which the society finds itself.

"But also the responsibility that as a society we act in the direction of sobriety and put the maximum focus on economic recovery and activities in that direction," Raičković added.

As he pointed out, there is no recipe for solving the accumulated problems in Montenegro, but there are procedures and standards for acting in crisis situations and no one should be hidden behind declarations.

"Our country needs all the knowledge, every expert and every organization that can contribute to managing the crisis together and moving towards better circumstances in the economic and every other aspect"

Popadić said that we are living in a time of strong divisions and mixed priorities, at the moment of the battle of two fierce fires - the corona fire and the fire of economic decline.

"Our first task is to extinguish them, and only then we look for who threw the match and intentionally or unintentionally caused the fire. Unfortunately, the state of affairs shows that we are more concerned with the question of who threw the match, while fires destroy everything in front of them," he said. Popadic.

According to him, the voice of AMM should be a benevolent and apolitical voice of reason.

"I am sure that as managers we are aware that we must not sit and wait for the crisis to pass. We need to fight for better times, they will not come by themselves. Such a large number of proven managers and delegates at today's Assembly is a true driving force," said Popadić.

Savić said that he is sure that AMM will be a serious partner in the coming period to all institutions that accept their extended hand. "Because we have the privilege that the members of the Association are recognized and confirmed managers, who can undeniably, with their knowledge, credibility and past results, help immensely in achieving the goals of the Association", added Savić.

Marijana Kadić Bojanić said that a leader is more than a manager, a person who has a vision, who knows which way and why he leads people and processes.

"Today, in the age of corona, we have new challenges that require leaders to be innovators, in order to succeed in saving their companies and thereby contribute to society. To motivate and save their people in times of health, social and economic crisis," said Kadić Bojanić. .

As she stated, Montenegro is paying dearly for quasi-leadership that did not result in democratic processes, a developed economy and a society of equal opportunities.

"Leaders must comply with all laws and norms and be the first to respect the rules, and not, as we have witnessed for years, be the first to break them," said Kadić Bojanić.

Radojević said that during the pandemic, everyone saw how important international cooperation was and how much it united the whole world and the region.

"We have shown solidarity when we are in trouble, and we could use that togetherness for cooperation at the international and, above all, at the regional level, which we certainly showed during the pandemic, including the earthquake that struck our neighbors. The Association's positioning was also recognized at regional and international level, and of course it needs to be further strengthened," Radojević assessed.

Nikić said that Covid took away over 30 thousand billion dollars of the world's GDP and that even Montenegro was not spared the recession, especially considering the fact that the Montenegrin economy is very sensitive to external flows.

"In the short term, we have a very important task ahead of us, which is how to improve the health situation and prepare for the upcoming tourist season, because the share of tourism is very high in the total participation in the GDP. This will be one of the most challenging tasks in a short period", Nikić pointed out.

He believes that it is necessary to support all highly vulnerable categories with additional measures, in order to maintain their substance, but also the entire economy from further collapse.

Radulović said that managers are expected to be successful even when it seems impossible.

"We have an extremely difficult year ahead of us, but if we are in business and if we are managers, then we have to fight and win, not with spite and an established way of thinking and behaving, but with innovation and expertise," said Radulović.
