The company "Aman", which manages the elite hotel complex - the city-hotel "Sveti Stefan" and Villa Miločer, has decided to close its operations in Montenegro for this summer, said Petros Statis, the owner of the company "Adriatic Properties", which is the tenant of the hotel complex. Sveti Stefan - Miločer.
"In this situation, if nothing changes, it cannot work," Statis told A1, as reported by Portal RTCG.
He said that "Aman" is probably the most luxurious operator in the world, and added that it was a great success for Montenegro to attract "Aman" because with that move, as he said, Montenegro positioned itself on the map of luxury destinations in the world.
"And I can tell you that people from Porto Montenegro, Luštica and Porto Novi came to Montenegro because of Aman. You can ask them, they tell me that, because we are all friends among ourselves. And they gave Aman one of the best places in to the world, Saint Stephen," said Statis.
He pointed out that Sveti Stefan is truly one of the best places in the world and added that he was happy to be able to participate in that investment.
Unfortunately, as he added, he believes that Montenegro cannot support this kind of investment.
"And I'm sorry for that because I believe it's a big mistake, not only for me as an investor, but also for the country and the people of Montenegro," said Statis.
