The Montenegrin Government has provided free PCR testing for all tourists who need it to return to their home country, in order to make their stay in Montenegro even easier, the Ministry of Economic Development (MEK) announced.
The department said that testing can be organized for tourists who have proof of paid residence tax in one of the hotels or registered private accommodation in the territory of Montenegro.
The Ministry noted that, for the sake of efficiency, the testing is scheduled by the contact person from the hotel or private accommodation, at least 72 hours before the tourist's return to his country, calls the Hygiene and Epidemiological Service of the local health center in the territory of the municipality where the accommodation was registered, in order to book the testing .
"The tourist who has contracted the test is obliged to come and perform the test at the agreed time," the announcement states.
The MEK appealed to all hoteliers and owners of private accommodation to make an extra effort and undertake the obligation to register and schedule a PCR test for guests and to ensure that the tourist arrives at the scheduled place.
"By which the procedure will be respected and tourists will be able to enjoy their vacation in Montenegro as comfortably as possible," the announcement concludes.
