The potential for the construction of facilities in the field of renewable energy sources is extremely large, but some of them are impossible to realize without joint work, it was assessed at the meeting of the representatives of the electricity companies of Montenegro (EPCG) and Republika Srpska (ERS).
EPCG announced that at the meeting of the representatives of the two power companies, possibilities for improving cooperation were discussed in order to increase the efficiency and profitability of the power systems of Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska.
They also discussed the joint valorization of water potential into energy, but also for the purpose of improving the water supply of part of the Montenegrin coast.
EPCG said that with the meeting of representatives of EPCG and ERS in Nikšić, after many years of stagnation, cooperation was re-established, which, according to the joint assessment, is of great interest for both power systems
"Possibilities for better utilization of the water potential of the Trebišnjica River for energy purposes, but also for the purpose of improving water supply in the area of the Montenegrin coast, were discussed," the announcement states.
EPCG representatives also used the meeting to actualize the Sutorina hydropower plant project, for which there is already project documentation, necessary studies and studies, which need to be revised and adapted to new standards in the field of energy.
