Member of the Executive Committee of the Socialist People's Party and member of the SNP in the local parliament, Rajko Palibrk, called it scandalous the decision of the Government of Montenegro to pay the profit of the Coal Mine of EUR 13,1 million made last year to the state budget.
The meeting of Rudnik Uglja shareholders, where that decision will be made, will most likely be held on June 30.
Elektroprivreda Crne Gore is the XNUMX% owner of the shares of the largest company in Pljevlja.
Palibrk called on the Government and the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore to give up their intention, because in this way, he claims, they would call into question the operation and development of the Mine.
"One of the measures of the Government of Montenegro to stabilize the state treasury, announced three months ago, will be implemented in the coming days, to the obvious detriment of the Pljevlja, Pljevlja and Pljevljak Coal Mines. In accordance with this measure, at the Shareholders' Assembly, which will be held in a few days, all last year's net profit of this company, which amounted to 13,1 million euros, will be transferred by the sole shareholder of the Coal Mine, EPCG, to the account of the state budget. of Montenegro (Alekse) Bečić and the Deputy Prime Minister (Sritan) Abazović, who guaranteed on several occasions that the new Montenegrin government will put Pljevlja first and that they will do everything to create chances for this city to rise from the ashes that the three-decade government turned it into DPS. There is clearly nothing from Pljevlja as a phoenix, and the words of the first people of the ruling majority were developed like dust from unorganized Pljevlja landfills and abandoned mines," said Palibrk in a statement.
He claims that Podgorica's policy towards Pljevlje has not changed even after the DPS government was replaced, and that the new management of Rudnik is in a vassal relationship with EPCG director Odor.
"Every citizen of Pljevljak will have the right to wonder what this action of the Government is leading to, whose finances, what irony, is managed by a native of Pljevljak, and the parliamentary majority is made up of those who swore to this city before last year's parliamentary elections and received huge support from the people of Pljevljak It is also in vain that there was a complete change in the Board of Directors of Rudnik and its management, because it is obvious that Podgorica's policy towards Pljevlja has not changed even one iota, and the new management of Rudnik is in a vassal relationship with the Board of Directors of EPCG. one cannot get away from the impression that the DPS authorities did it in a much more polite and perfidious way, and not openly, brutally and extremely raw," Palibrk said.
The new management of Rudnik Uglja, he points out, can only watch helplessly "how the profits of this company, which uses non-renewable resources of Pljevlja, flow into the state coffers where they will be used to plug the holes made by others".
"Is this again on stage a story about higher state interests paid by the people of Pljevlja, while there is no trace of them and Pljevlja? Where in the whole story about the looting of the mining profits of Pljevlja are these few Pljevlja people who are still clinging to power in Montenegro Is there someone who will show at least a little elementary respect for them? Judging by everything, the matter has already been resolved, but the representatives of the citizens of Pljevlja have no right to silently pass over another open attack on Pljevlja," said Plibrk.
He also says that the right of EPCG, as the sole owner of the Coal Mine, to completely withdraw its annual dividend cannot be contested," but it can, and should be done with a full voice, call and call on the Government of Montenegro and the Board of Directors of EPCG to give up their intentions to call into question the future operations and development of the Coal Mine and prevent this company from becoming a pillar of Pljevlja again".
"Gentlemen from the Government, don't just say that you will return the millions you appropriated to Pljevlja through investments in heating and other colorful lies. The people of Pljevlja are fed up with such stories because the DPS authorities have repeated them countless times. And one more thing, gentlemen, leaders of the Government and political parties who make up the majority in the Montenegrin parliament, including the leadership of the Socialist People's Party, think carefully before it's too late, with what arguments and what story will you come to the people of Pljevlja next time, with what story and with what face. Wake up from your stupefying dream and understand that you are no longer the opposition, but the government, which in order to survive and regain trust, must take care of all its voters, be fair and just, and stop the practice of being someone's mother and someone's stepmother. Dear citizens of Pljevlja, is it possible that representatives of the parties to whom you gave a total of over 11.000 votes in last year's parliamentary elections, on which day should you vote so that the 13,1 million euros generated in your city will be moved to Podgorica in one go? The answer is short and clear - Yes, it is possible," said Palibrk.
