On the occasion of the meeting of representatives of the Board of Directors and the Plantation Union, he said that it is important for the company that no one will interfere with their work.
"I also welcome the high level of understanding that has been achieved in relation to the necessary assumptions for the survival of the company, which is in a very complex situation, as well as the announced plan of the Board of Directors for the comprehensive restructuring of the company in accordance with the best practices and standards in the industry," said Vuković in a statement. .
He believes that it is particularly important that the Board of Directors publicly confirmed and clearly demarcated the responsibilities of the management and the trade union organization, and added that requests for management replacements do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Trade Union.
"So I no longer expect the trade union to demand what does not belong to them, which is to demand the dismissal of the entire administration and therefore go on strike," said Vuković.
He welcomed the position of the Board of Directors that in the future it will carefully consider all initiatives coming from the workers, but that it has the obligation to make decisions in the interest of the company and the owners, not individuals.
"I am glad that the Board and the Trade Union are discussing elementary things that are normally taken for granted, and all this again with a high degree of agreement," stated Vuković.
He said that the management should continue to work as it started on October 23, when Vuković was appointed as the executive director, without courting anyone and in the sole interest of the company.
"The meeting made it possible for the management to negotiate with employees, the union, banks, the Tax Administration, customers, suppliers, local governments, state authorities and the stock exchange, without internal pressure. In this way, the Board will be in a situation to see the complete picture of the company and solve the accumulated problems, one by one," said Vuković.
