As part of the Be Responsible campaign, 76 complaints were registered this week, which mainly related to the non-issuance of fiscal invoices, but also to work during national holidays.
Based on the recorded reports, no fines were imposed this week.
The largest number of complaints related to the non-issuance of fiscal invoices in the Casa in Igalo, the Griffone cafe, Terrace M and the Peoples beach bar in Herceg Novi, the "Baćović" animal feed discount store, an unnamed store, the Starevina restaurant, the Perla cafe, the Bim store and the auto- the Oktopod service in Nikšić, Alo taxi and Potoci coffee bar in Podgorica.
Non-issuance of fiscal invoices was also reported in Akustik tavern in Kotor, Heaven company and Moira Peja restaurant in Ulcinj, El Mundo, Barboonbar, Parma grill garden and parking lot in Budva, Cvijo restaurant, Royal beach, Caka hair salon, flower shop whose name is not given and flower shops Kaktus in Bar, Sunce bakeries in Radanovići and Evropa in Donji Štoj, Bajla bar in Pljevlje, the canteen of the Children's Resort in Veruša, the restaurant Mali Raj in Žabljak and the mobile phone and equipment store Ada in Bijelo Polje.
Citizens complained that fiscal invoices are not issued at the Kod Jara bakery, the Ambasada tavern, the Katić and Maxi Katić apartments, and the Palma restaurant in Hercg Novi, but also that these facilities do not meet the necessary hygiene requirements and do not register workers.
On the National Day of Montenegro, which is celebrated on July 13, ETC and the former factory "Špiro Dacić" in Bijelo Polje, parking service in Herceg Novi, Remid Vis in Podgorica and Kliko Company, M-Comerc and Capital Center in Ulcinj worked.
Reports were also recorded that the beaches of Pecka in Tivat, beaches in Kumbor and Zaba in Herceg Novi did not leave space for bathers, without beach furniture, while the citizens of Kotor demanded that the pontoon in that town, surrounded by a low fence, be freed for swimming. There have also been reports that Nikki Beach in Tivat operates without a permit, as well as that access to the beach of the Iberostar Hotel in Herceg Novi is not allowed.
Citizens also complained about the illegal sale of boat packages and bus tickets, the provision of make-up services, the sale of products on the way to the Black Lake in Žabljak, the operation of a coffee roaster in Rožaje, unhygienic conditions in Bar's Nice vice, garbage, loud music, violation of epidemiological measure at the Omnia discotheque in Budva and a parking ban at the Lazaret in Meljine.
Complaints were also registered that the employees of the Barka restaurant and the Sato hotel in Bar are not insured, the employees of the Juzno More hotel in Bar do not have the right to a day off, while the owner of the S&M cafe in Herceg Novi placed tables and umbrellas on the common entrance to the building.
Citizens also complained that boat owners, who take tourists around the island in Petrovac, work illegally and do not issue invoices, the driver of the company Elan from Plav writes text messages while driving, exceeds the speed limit and swears, and the beach bar La Bamba in Herceg Novi plays music twice as loud as allowed.
Ethnic village of St. Georgije in Cetinje, according to registered complaints, does not register guests even though he has been charged the tourist tax, in the Idea store in Podgorica they include the packaging in the price of the product, and in HDL Laković in Budva they sell products whose composition is not written in the Montenegrin language. A complaint was also registered that at the Moet beach bar in Budva, the restaurant manager yells at the workers because they went to have lunch after nine hours of work.
The Be Responsible campaign was launched at the end of December 2013 by the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Montenegro, with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of public awareness and greater involvement of citizens in the fight against the gray economy.
The project enables citizens to simply and quickly point out irregularities, such as non-issuance of fiscal invoices, illegal work or violation of consumer rights, and help the competent institutions to deal with the gray economy as successfully as possible.
