Representatives of the management of Crnogorski Telecom announced yesterday the possibility of resuming the practice of paying dividends to shareholders from next year, which was not paid this year due to high costs in the amount of around 30 million euros for lease of frequencies, which were charged by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services last year.

The participants of the first investor conference on the capital market, which was organized yesterday at the "Hilton" hotel in Podgorica by the Montenegro Stock Exchange, rated the shares of the telecommunications company, which are now traded at prices of around 1,9 euros, "potentially interesting for investment, but assuming that the company continue with the dividend payment policy", which was constantly present from 2008 until last year.

The financial director of Crnogorski Telekom, Gordana Blagojević, said that "they are working on the dividend policy, they are harmonizing it with Deutsche Telekom and that they will most likely have a proposal next year."

"The share price has fallen. Our goal is to stabilize negative trends", stated Blagojević.

Manager for corporate affairs Pavle Đurović also confirmed that their goal is to establish a dividend policy, but that in the following period the company cannot expect to buy its own shares.

Other representatives of the management announced that their current goal is "mitigation of the decline in income, and for 2018, complete stabilization of income."

"The results of the last few months are encouraging", they said from Crnogorski Telecom and explained that they are not thinking about issuing corporate shares in order to collect money for further development projects because, as they claim, they have enough for that purpose from their own sources.

In addition to Telekom, Plantaže, Zetatrans, Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES), Luka Bar and Jugopetrola also presented themselves during yesterday's conference.

CGES representatives expressed the expectation that the submarine cable project between Montenegro and Italy will come to life and "become operational from 2019", and Zetatrans representatives expect "about 870 thousand profit, before taxation" this calendar year.

The best companies presented

Director of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, Gojko Maksimović, said that the investor conference was held for the first time, and the stock exchange expresses its satisfaction with the large number of institutional and private sector investors who attended it.

"Those present had the opportunity to hear information about the company's operations and future plans. This was an attempt by the stock exchange to affirm the capital market and, through the presentation of the best companies, to interest the general public in investing in the market and buying shares", stated Maksimović.
