The decision to make the Ulcinj Saltworks state-owned is an important step towards fulfilling the final benchmarks of the environmental chapter in the process of joining the European Union.
This was announced by the German ambassador to Montenegro, Robert Weber.
"I welcome today's decision of the Council on the issue of land ownership of the Ulcinj Saltworks. This represents an important step for fulfilling the final benchmarks of the chapter in the field of the environment in the process of joining the European Union," the Facebook page of the German Embassy in Montenegro states.
After the session of the Council for Privatization and Capital Projects, Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić announced that the Council unanimously gave its opinion in relation to the request of the bankrupt "Bajo Sekulić" Salt Company and noted that the conditions for converting the right of use into property rights have not been met.
