The management of "Luke Bar" AD reacted to the allegations presented at today's high-level press conference of the National Council for Combating Corruption, saying that statements were made at that event that could be the basis for wrong conclusions for the public.
They announced that, precisely thanks to the functioning of the information system "Luke Bar" AD and the general data management system in the company, extensive documentation was delivered on several occasions, and that on this basis it is clear that the qualifications expressed about the record system that was mentioned at the conference for the media, in no case, has anything to do with the company "Luka Bar" AD.
It is true, as they stated, that the company was not explicitly mentioned at the press conference, but that the comments made and accompanying footage broadcast in some electronic media clearly point to it, and that it is necessary to remove "possible misinterpretations". The management states that since 2001, "Luka Bar" AD has had an integral automated information system that covers all business processes, including the storage process of all goods, and that "absolutely at any time" all data on the state of stocks in any port warehouse. They add that "Luka Bar" AD has also developed a Port community system, which, through the functioning of its modules, enables all entities from the port environment to exchange data electronically, and to the customs authorities a constant insight and the possibility of monitoring the movement of goods such as entry, stock status and exit, in all port warehouses.

They point out that "Luka Bar" AD is the operator of the Free Zone, but that more than 65 different users operate within the Free Zone, with most of them operating in their own warehouses or leased parts of warehouses that are not owned by "Luke Bar".
"The system of records of goods in those warehouses is approved by the Customs Administration, without any jurisdiction of 'Luka Bar' AD in the process. According to the Law on Free Zones, only after the customs authorities approve the system of keeping records, the user can start performing activities. At the conference in question for the media, a situation was obviously described that cannot be connected with 'Luka Bar' AD, but, unfortunately, there was no more precise determination of which company it was and whether it was a user of the Free Zone at all, since the record system that was described was not minimally does not correspond to the criteria which, according to the information available to 'Luka Bar' AD, are applied by the customs authorities when approving the goods registration system for the users of the Free Zone," the response states.
The management said that they fully support all the activities of the competent state authorities, which aim to eliminate irregular events of any kind in the area of the Port of Bar Free Zone, because this, among other things, contributes to the positive image of the port as a system and provides prerequisites for improvement. its market position.
"In this context, it should be especially borne in mind that in the area of the Luka Bar Free Zone, the original, legally prescribed, competences in certain areas (security, permits for the performance of activities, control of import-export flows, ...) are held by various state bodies (Administration customs, police administration, inspections, ...), and that 'Luka Bar' AD is an entity whose primary activity is transshipment and storage of goods with minimal competences in other domains", concluded the management's response.
