The management of the state-owned company reacted to the article "The 'ceasefire' of unions and management violated in 'Plantaže'", which was published in "Vijesti" yesterday. We transmit the reaction in its entirety:
"Trade union organization of the company "13. jul-Plantaže" continues to usurp the public of Montenegro, with brutal untruths and activities that can certainly be characterized as a fight for the rights of employees and the interests of the company, which should be their basic role, and not interference in personnel policy and company management affairs.
The company does not know who these union activists are and what are the controversial decisions on the basis of which they were transferred to other lower paid jobs. If this is the reason for the so-called 'unfreezing' the strike, then that unreasonable decision will be illegal as well as the one related to its previous 'freezing'. It is not the practice of the management, but of the trade union, to discriminate on the basis of affiliation to a political, trade union or other organization, so that the workforce schedule was solely motivated by the needs of the work process, and everything according to the professional training of the employee.
It is indisputable that the Board of Directors controls the work of the CEO, as this is their statutory obligation, but not in the way proposed by the leading trade unions who would like to prevent the CEO from doing his job in every way.
The union is asking for unfounded guarantees for its illegal activities, which they cannot get from anyone, not even from the Board of Directors, which in its work so far is exclusively guided by the best interests of the company. The executive director is convinced that the union leadership - especially its professionalized, non-working part, is preoccupied exclusively with personal interests and the ambition to manage the company contrary to the statute.
As for the calculation value of the coefficient (the so-called point), which the trade union leadership suddenly unfounded and without any argument, the fact is that its value has increased since Miroslav Vuković was the executive director. Jubilee awards, i.e. determination of their amount, is the responsibility of the Board of Directors, as evidenced by long-standing company practice, which is known to union representatives. As for union criticism related to the payment of wages, thanks to the work of the executive director and the current management, the same is regular today, as is the servicing of current obligations, while counting inherited problems is extremely hypocritical, bearing in mind the health and economic crisis that affects us all.
The Montenegrin public should also know that these days the trade unionists will receive an invitation to negotiate the conclusion of a new collective agreement, because the existing one is contrary to imperative legal regulations, irrationally conceived and to the detriment of the owners, and in the long run to the detriment of all employees. In addition, employees will receive an invitation to nominate their representatives for the procedure of determining the representativeness of the trade union organization. In the end, it is necessary for all parties to show good will to overcome existing disagreements through a constructive dialogue that can lead to adequate solutions, all in the best interest of the company and all employees".
