At yesterday's electronic session, the Government of Montenegro dismissed the director of the Statistics Authority - Monstat, Gordana Radojević, due to "illegalities in work" that were found in the annual report of Monstat for 2020, "Vijesti" in the Government has learned.
She was also dismissed due to the indication of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management that Monstat, by not publishing the collected data on the structure of farms from 2016, made it impossible to implement an international grant project financed by the FAO based on the final and published data, and thus allegedly caused damage to the state which "Vijesti" already wrote about.
After the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare initiated her dismissal, Radojevic said that the reasons for her dismissal were fabricated and that the Ministry was exerting political pressure on her in order to force Monstat to conduct a population census contrary to the law and statistical practice.
