Montenegro, as a country that strives for zero tolerance for corruption and the establishment of good tax policies, has the prospect of attracting important investors in the coming period and rounding off the assumptions on the way to the realization of the European perspective, said Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović.
As announced by the Assembly, as part of the conference of the presidents of the parliaments of small European countries, the president of Herceg Novi Municipality, Stevan Katic, arranged a working dinner for the host, the president of the Parliament of Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, and the guests, the highest foreign delegation.
It is stated that the working evening "Chambers of Commerce as initiators of economic cooperation of small European countries" was also attended by Milatović and the acting president of the Chamber of Commerce, Nina Drakić.
It was announced from the Assembly that Katic expressed the expectation that this kind of informal gathering will have the same success as today's working part and thanked Bečić for choosing Herceg Novi as the host city of the Conference.
While stating that Herceg Novi is a small town with only 33 inhabitants, Katic pointed out that this coastal city has significant tourist potential and also pointed to the specificity of Herceg Novi, which is distinguished on the tourist map by the developed health tourism.
He said that the "Simo Milošević" Institute is a brand that has been attracting a large number of users from all over the world for years.
Milatović mentioned the unenviable results of the tourist season achieved during the last year and emphasized that the decisions of the new government this year have recovered tourism.
"Which naturally led to a strong economic recovery, and enabled the adoption of a set of social solutions that improved living standards," added Milatović.
He emphasized the importance of connecting the economies of small states.
Milatović assessed that countries like those gathered by the Conference "could contribute to the realization of Montenegro's European path through the linking of economies".
The Assembly announced that the President of the House of Representatives of Luxembourg Fernang Etgen, the President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Anita Demetriou, and the President of the National Council of Monaco Stefan Valeri participated in the Conference, which ended today.
It is added that the President of the Parliament of Andorra Roser Sune Pascuet, as well as other high representatives of the parliaments of Andorra, Monaco, Luxembourg, Cyprus, San Marino and Iceland, also participated.
