All clients of CKB will be exempted from paying the bank commission when paying the child allowance. Also, CKB will not charge a commission for the transfer of funds for the payment of child allowance to other banks in the country.

The decision reached was agreed through CKB's membership in UNICEF's Business Council for Children's Rights and represents a continuation of the long-standing practice of the largest bank in the country to contribute to improving the position of children and young people in Montenegrin society.

"The leadership status that CKB has been enjoying on the market for years does not stem only from the achieved business results, but also from the need to continuously contribute to the progress of society. I see membership in the UNICEF Business Council for Children's Rights as an opportunity to facilitate the acquisition of conditions for a happier upbringing of our children with partners with whom we share the same values. Guided by this noble goal, we have decided that child benefit payments will be exempt from bank commission costs. I believe that this decision is just the beginning of the activities that we will implement with UNICEF and the competent institutions, additionally confirming the commitment that children and young people are one of the foundations of our socially responsible business and activities", said Branislava Maja Vukčević, executive director of the Sector for corporate management of CKB.

Juan Santander, head of the UNICEF representative office in Montenegro, called on other banks to follow CKB's example: "We thank CKB for its pioneering role in UNICEF's Business Council for Children's Rights and making the first donation directly for the benefit of all children in Montenegro. CKB will cover all costs of bank transactions related to child benefit payments for all its clients who have children under 6 years of age. We hereby invite other banks in Montenegro to follow the example of CKB and not to charge the costs of bank transactions for child benefit payments."

Marija Stajović, acting director of the Directorate for Social and Child Protection, emphasized that CKB, by donating through the UNICEF Business Council for Children's Rights, showed social responsibility and expressed the belief that this support will motivate other partners to contribute.

For the October allowance, which is paid in mid-November, 36.121 children were registered and applications for the following months continued. The Government of Montenegro allocates 6 million euros per year for child allowance for all children up to 17,6 years of age.
