The RUP delegation could not enter Russia

A group of employees of the Pljeval Coal Mine (RUP) was not allowed to enter Russia last week, and the members of the delegation, which included the company's executive director Milan Lekić, do not know the reason why this happened.

Lekić told "Vijesta" that after passport control at the airport in Moscow, they received information that they could not continue their journey, after which they had to return to Montenegro.

Lekić says that the seven-member delegation of the mine, along with 12 other colleagues from the Ugljevik Mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina, traveled to Minsk, where they were supposed to attend training at a factory that produces heavy mining vehicles and ampere.

They started their journey to Belarus from Belgrade.

"In Belgrade, we had problems at the airport and after certain procedures and checks, we were told that we could continue our journey to Moscow from Belgrade. Upon arrival in Moscow after passport control, we are not allowed to enter Russia. Apart from us citizens of Montenegro, the delegation from the mines in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not allowed to enter either. We do not know the reason why it happened. Of the nineteen of us who traveled, the only one allowed to enter Russia was a colleague who had a Serbian and Slovenian passport," said Lekić.

Lekić denied that they were returned from the border, because they did not have vaccination certificates and PCR tests, as reported by some Montenegrin media.

The director of Rudnik said that they spent the day and night at the airport and that they left Moscow on the next flight and traveled to Belgrade.

One of the members of the delegation of Rudnik Uglja said that it was explained to them that they needed visas to enter Russia.

"Five days ago when we booked the tickets, visas were not required. In the meantime, as explained to us, Montenegrin citizens need a visa to enter Russia. The training organizers did not inform us about it either. In Belgrade, after being checked, we were told that they would let us enter Russia. However, no one was waiting for us at the airport and after we handed over our passports, we were informed that we were not approved to enter Russia," one of the members of the delegation told "Vijesta".
