Guarantees in the next year up to 39 million euros

In the coming year, the government will issue guarantees in the total amount of up to 39 million euros.

In the Proposal for a Decision on Montenegro's Borrowing for the Next Year, which was submitted to the parliamentary procedure, it is stated that the Government will issue guarantees for a credit arrangement between the Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of up to 12 million euros. for the needs of the second tranche of the loan arrangement, the total value of which is EUR 24 million, which is intended for the financing of the project to solve the issue of water supply and sewage infrastructure in the settlements of Dobre vode, Veliki pijesak and Utjeha in the Municipality of Bar and the settlement of Kruče in the Municipality of Ulcinj.

The government will also issue guarantees for the credit arrangement between the EBRD and the Railway Infrastructure (ŽICG), to finance the purchase of machinery for railway maintenance (construction and electrical) and new equipment for the auxiliary train used to eliminate the consequences of accidents and accidents, in the amount of up to 11 million euros.

"The government will also issue guarantees for the credit arrangement of Railway Transport (ŽPCG) and the EBRD to finance the purchase of new trains that would be used in local passenger transport, in the amount of up to 14 million euros," the document states.

Guarantees will also be issued for the credit arrangement between ŽPCG and the Specialized Financial Institution for Crediting the Purchase and Repair of Rolling Stock (EUROFIME) for the needs of urgent general overhaul of rolling stock used for railway passenger traffic, in the amount of up to two million euros.
