Average earnings without taxes and contributions in October, according to Monstat data, amounted to 534 euros, which is 0,2 percent more than in September.
The average net salary in October increased by 1,7 percent compared to the same month last year.
The average gross salary in October was 798 euros.
"If it is taken into account that consumer prices rose by 0,7 percent in October compared to September, it follows that real wages fell by 0,5 percent in the same period," the announcement states.
By sector of activity, average net earnings in October, compared to September, recorded growth in the sectors of administrative and auxiliary service activities by 2,2 percent, construction by 2,1 percent, real estate business by two percent, professional, scientific and technical activities by 1,8, 1,7 percent, agriculture, forestry and fishing 1,6 percent, arts, entertainment and recreation 1,1 percent, other service activities 0,8 percent, manufacturing industry 0,4 percent, education and transport and storage 0,3 percent, state administration 0,2 .0,1 percent, health and social care XNUMX percent and mining and quarrying XNUMX percent.
Compared to the previous month, the decrease in average earnings without taxes and contributions in October was recorded in the sectors of accommodation and catering services by 1,9 percent, financial activities and insurance by 1,6 percent, water supply, waste water management by 1,4 percent, electricity supply energy, gas, steam and air conditioning and wholesale and retail trade 0,5 percent each and information and communications 0,1 percent.
