Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić and Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ratko Mitrović participated in the 19th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Energy Community, which took place today in Belgrade.
The Ministry of Capital Investments (MKI) announced that the official visit followed the invitation of the organizer, Zorana Mihajlović, Minister of Mining and Energy in the Government of Serbia and Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community Janez Kopač.
"Ministers Bojanić and Mitrović gave their full contribution in making key decisions on issues from the agenda proposed by the organizers of the meeting," the announcement states.
MKI added that "the ministerial meeting was another opportunity to point out the importance of transparent procedures for assessing the impact on the environment and climate change, so that the success of the planned energy transition is not called into question."
"Participants of the 19th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Energy Community considered the issues of expanding regional cooperation as well as the confirmation of amendments and the implementation of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Energy Community. During the meeting, Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić participated in making proposals for further steps, including the implementation of the Action Plan for decarbonization", the announcement concludes.
