The Union of National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG) announced today that the dismissal of NPCG director Jelena Kljajević was carried out based on lump-sum and unverified data, and that the state has a "stepmotherly relationship" with the company.
On December 17, the Government of Montenegro passed a decision on the dismissal of Kljajević.

"As employees of a public company that manages the most valuable territory of Montenegro, we point out that the lump-sum assessments about the state of affairs in this public company made public on the occasion of the dismissal of director Jelena Kljajević do not contribute to the stability of the company's work, and therefore to the security of the existence of employees and their families. ratings without any verification or revision by any institution, we consider at the very least tendentious with the intention of causing damage and reputation both to the Public Company and to all employed workers who with the smallest personal incomes in the public sector professionally and responsibly perform their tasks. employee incomes are the lowest in the public sector, we would like to point out the stepmotherly relationship that the state has towards this public company, in which for many years the employees are barely surviving, while management changes are carried out with lump-sum and unverified information, as is the case with the dismissal of the outgoing director ", the press release of the NPCG union points out.
They added that in order for this company to continue the continuity of development and the employees to realize the planned activities, they demand the following from the leading people in this company, first of all, the new director of the public company and the chairman of the Board of Directors:
"To undertake activities so that the financial resources provided for in the budget for 2021 are transferred from the Ministry to the account of the Public Enterprise so that the account is not blocked;
That the new Collective Agreement be adopted as soon as possible, in order to fulfill the legal obligations of compliance with the Law on Salaries of Employees in the Public Sector, which has not been implemented since 2016, and thereby improve social conditions in the Company, which has by far the lowest salaries in the public sector, where the average salary is around 350,00 euros.
That with your upcoming activities, you do not question the work engagement of any employee in the company, but focus your professional and professional capacities on improving working conditions and increasing employees' earnings;
To dedicate yourself to the legal obligations of creating Plans and Programs for the management of national parks, improving the standards of workers, solving everyday problems in the company and improving work, for the benefit of all citizens of Montenegro," reads the press release of the NPCG Union.
The trade union organization said that, as in the previous period, they remain open to any dialogue, which, they added, will contribute to the improvement and development of the company, as well as to the improvement of the social status of workers.
"We are also ready and determined to protect our rights in every legally permitted way of trade union activity," concludes the press release of the NPCG Union.
