The Assembly established the existence of urgency for the law to enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Deputies also adopted amendments to the Law on Contributions for Mandatory Social Security, which abolish health contributions.
Amendments to the Personal Income Tax Act were also adopted, which foresee the introduction of a non-taxable part of earnings up to 700 euros, as well as an increase in the tax rate on earnings over 1.000 euros from 9 to 15 percent.
By abolishing the contribution for health insurance and introducing a non-taxable part of the salary, employers should increase the employee's net salary from the January salary for that part of the previous duties. This would mean an average salary increase of around 17 percent.
