Average earnings without taxes and contributions in December last year, according to Monstat data, amounted to 537 euros, which is 0,4 percent more than in November.
The average net salary in December last year increased by 2020 percent compared to the same month in 1,9.
The average gross salary in December was 802 euros.
Monstat said that at the level of last year, the average gross salary was 793 euros, and the average net salary was 532 euros.
"If it is taken into account that consumer prices in the last year compared to 2020 recorded a growth of 2,4 percent, it follows that real earnings for the same period recorded a drop of 0,9 percent," the announcement states.
By sector of activity, in December of last year compared to November, average net earnings increased in the administrative and auxiliary service sectors by 3,7 percent, other service sectors by three percent, art, entertainment and recreation by 2,8 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities 2,4 percent, real estate business 1,7 percent, construction 1,2 percent, water supply, waste water management, mining and quarrying, state administration 0,7 percent each, supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 0,2 percent, traffic and storage 0,1 percent, as well as financial and insurance activities XNUMX percent.
The decline in average net earnings was recorded in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fishing by 3,6 percent, health and social protection by 1,1 percent, wholesale and retail trade by 0,5 percent, manufacturing industry by 0,3 percent, accommodation and food services, and education. 0,2 percent each.
