"Regarding the amendments to the Personal Income Tax Act, since the implementation of the "Europe Now" program, the UPC has been committed to the timely application of legal regulations, all with the aim of suppressing the gray economy, which is also present in the field of informal employment. Since the adoption of the program" Europe now", UPC through all its business processes participates and contributes to the success of the implementation phase of the program. This is supported by the fact that out of 203.022 employed persons in Montenegro before the application of the program, 11.686 persons were registered as part-time, while in January it was half-time working hours reported by 11.337 or 5.58 percent of the total number of employees. The positive effects of the application and compliance with the regulations of the government's economic program are also reflected in the orderliness of the submission of the Single application for the registration of taxpayers, contributors and insured persons (JPR), which is a kind of indicator of the level of tax culture among economic subjects".

As stated in the UPC announcement, by the decision of the head of the body, in the previous three months, around 15.000 euros of assistance and benefits were paid to employees based on employment rights. Also, it is added that in December of last year, 1.081 employees in UPC achieved an increase in earnings, i.e. everyone was paid a linear variable for the month of December.

"Despite the fact that the mentioned payments affect the increase in costs based on wages, which were not recorded in earlier years, since the beginning of the mandate of the new management, UPC has recorded a saving compared to the same period in 2020/2021 in the amount of 100 thousand euros, i.e. savings of around 120 euros for the same period 2019/2020. The most significant savings were achieved on the basis of official trips, representation, ongoing maintenance of equipment and software and other services," the announcement states, among other things.
