3,89 million to help pensioners

Due to the increase in the prices of basic foodstuffs, the Government decided to make a one-time payment of 299,06 euros each to pensioners whose incomes are below the average pension of 50 euros and to beneficiaries of a proportional pension. A total of 77,753 thousand pensioners will receive this payment, which is 63,03 percent of the total number of the oldest population, while 3,89 million euros will be allocated for this purpose.

It is the fourth support for pensioners in a year. The PIO fund lacks 3,2 million for this purpose, so they will receive it from the state budget. Details on the method of payment will be announced later from the PIO Fund.

The Government's information states that the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO) asked the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare to consider the possibility of this payment for these two categories of pensioners in order to improve their financial position, because their incomes have been reduced even more due to inflation. .

According to the January data of the PIO Fund, there are a total of 127.873 thousand pensioners and other beneficiaries of rights from the Fund, while the average January pension was 299,06 euros, while the lowest pension was 150,21 euros.

Data from the PIO Fund show that 16.947 beneficiaries receive the lowest pension, while 200 beneficiaries receive the lowest pension up to 20.330 euros, and 200 beneficiaries from 27.840 euros to the average pension.

At the meeting, it was decided to pay 825,105 thousand euros from the current budget reserve for the needs of the Employment Agency for the realization of the training program for businessmen for this year.

"For the inclusion of 250 unemployed for half a year, 825,105 thousand euros are missing. Additional increased costs due to the increase in the minimum wage affect the increase in the costs of implementing the program this year compared to the previous year," the Government's information states.

It was also decided to pay a one-time payment of 200 euros each to the members of the Commission for the control of the sand embankment, the construction of the sand dune at the location of the Ada Bojana beach. It is about three members of the Commission, and the money is paid on the proposal of the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism.
