For the situation in the Port of Adria company, which is more than alarming, the only culprit is the state of Montenegro, that is, those who carried out the division of the single port and the sale of the Container Terminal, it was announced by the trade union organization of employees of that company.
The president of SOZ Port of Adria, Zoran Martinović, said that the current situation is more than alarming, the number of employees is decreasing, and the scope of work has remained the same.
He said that the statement of the Minister of Capital Investments, Mladen Bojanić, at the Kopaonik Business Forum, attracted a lot of attention from all the people of Baran, especially the employees of the Port of Adria company.
"There are again headlines in the media that the Turkish investor is leaving and that the once most promising company in Bar is returning to the framework of the unique Port of Bar. "We have repeatedly warned in the last 13 years about the pernicious strategy of the state when it comes to the Port of Bar, especially the part where we are employed," said Martinović in a statement.
He believes that the first and biggest mistake was made by the division of the unique Port of Bar in 2009, by the formation of the Container Terminal and general cargo, as a whole torn from the unique port.
"Then by conducting from the ministry and appointing people who, now we all see, deliberately pushed the company into the worst possible state in order to sell it in 2014 to the only candidate - the Turkish Global Ports for eight million euros or the price of a slightly larger house on the seashore ", Martinovic said.
He assessed that the second mistake of the state was the sale of that company, and especially that after the sale it did not properly follow up the investment and all other obligations arising from the sales contract.
"The current situation is more than alarming, the number of employees is decreasing, and the volume of work has remained the same, which used to be performed by 1,1 thousand employees, now is performed by about 270. "Instead of hiring more young people, the management can't wait for some employees to retire or leave the company," says Martinović.
According to him, due to bad business policy, many jobs are transferred to their competitors, they often cannot meet the demands of clients, so the goods irretrievably leave them.
"Employees in the operation have witnessed that they are at the limit of endurance, and according to the business reports, we see that the total loss of the company has reached an incredible 29,8 million, according to us. So we wonder where so many minuses in business are made and arise," said Martinović.
He believes that all the then ministers, members of the privatization council, creators of the division and sale of the company, as well as the former executive director of KTGT, must be held accountable for those mistakes.
"If it is planned to return to a single port, the state must look at this in a very serious way and let's hope finally in a way that will be good for us employees. If this is not the case, they must help us, to review the entire process of privatization and protect the interests of all employees", said Martinović.
