The implementation of the economic citizenship program is one of the development opportunities for Montenegro, which could bring numerous benefits, primarily financial resources for development projects, announced the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Pavle Radulović.
"A well-designed, competitive and transparent program, with a strict procedure for checking applicants, can bring numerous benefits to Montenegro, primarily financial resources that can be used for development projects primarily in the north, as well as the creation of new jobs and more balanced regional development", said Radulović at the Global Citizen Forum, which is held in Miločer.
At the panel discussion entitled National identities: The changing nature of citizenships in Europe, he stated that Montenegro offers a stable and safe environment and that, thanks to the implementation of large investment projects in tourism, transport and energy, it has become an extremely attractive and interesting investment destination.
Radulović reminded that the Government invited interested companies with experience in the development and implementation of economic investment programs for the acquisition of citizenship, to submit a detailed proposal for the concept of the program that can be successful in Montenegro.
Proposals were submitted by six eminent companies from the field, and based on the received proposals, the committee will prepare a draft program proposal that will be submitted to the Government for approval.
