Brnabić announced that Serbia will allow the export of wheat, corn, flour and refined oil: Stability for Montenegro

The President of the Government of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, announced that the Government will allow the export of wheat, corn, flour and refined oil at today's session.

The Prime Minister told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that the export of unrefined oil will not be allowed, because it is exported at higher prices.

With this decision, as Brnabić said, the Government will meet all the requests of the Serbian Grain Association, and next Tuesday they will have a new meeting with them on how to better organize transport.

"We will allow certain export quotas, there will be a commission, if more producers apply for more exports than planned, it will not be based on the system of who applies first, but it will be equally distributed for everyone," Brnabić said, adding that there is "no chance of corruption".

She told the citizens that there will be no shortages, and that the state ensures that there is always two or three times more than the needs, and that the silos are emptied, that the exporters "honor the contracts and make money now with these prices".

Brnabić estimated that inflation in Serbia this year will be around seven percent or slightly lower, but added that in the end everything depends on oil and gas prices.

"Vijesti" previously announced that the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia has prepared a proposal for a decision on lifting the ban on the export of cereals and edible sunflower oil with monthly quotas for export to neighboring countries, while the export of flour will most likely be without restrictions.

For Montenegro, which traditionally imports most of these goods from this closest and cheapest market, this will mean stability in the supply of domestic consumers, but also that there will probably not be a new increase in prices.

Answering questions about the formation of the new government, Brnabić said that the bodies of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will decide on the partners in relation to how they position themselves on the issues of Serbia's development.

"Some positioned themselves differently before, during and after the campaign, only SNS positioned itself completely and always with the same attitude," said Brnabić and repeated that "everyone is ready to unite against Aleksandar Vučić".

She added that the progressives will form the government with the Union of Vojvodina Hungarians and other minority parties, and everything else will be decided by party bodies.

The Prime Minister pointed out that she is looking forward to the fact that the discussion on various topics will return to the Serbian Parliament, where citizens can hear "how some defend or do not defend Serbian national interests and whether they represent the positions of the West or the East." When asked about relations in the region, Brnabić replied that Serbia stands for peace and dialogue.
