The Law on Amendments to the Law on Excise Taxes was published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro.
Yesterday, the Assembly adopted the amendments to the Law on Excise, with the votes of 49 MPs, and the Law on Value Added Tax, with the votes of 50 MPs.
Those laws were prepared by the old Government, and the new one remained with almost the same proposed solutions, which provided for the reduction of excise duty on fuel by up to 50 percent, the temporary abolition of VAT on flour and edible oil, the reduction to seven percent of VAT on salt...

As announced by the Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović, excise duties on fuel will be reduced by 40 percent for the time being, which at current prices would mean a reduction in the price of diesel by 21,3 cents and gasoline by 26,6 cents.
