EPCG: Prerequisites created for the implementation of the Solari project

Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), as part of the Solari 3000+ and 500+ project, signed two contracts which, as the company said, created all the prerequisites for the realization of those projects.

EPCG said that the Contract for Monocrystalline Photovoltaic Modules and Substructure of the Photovoltaic System was signed with the bidder Novi Volvox, which submitted the most favorable offer of 12.444.865 euros without value added tax (VAT). "The estimated value of the public procurement is 12,8 million euros without VAT," EPCG said. They stated that the contract for inverters and smart meters, three-phase meters, was signed with the bidder Comtrade Distribution, which submitted an offer of 4,12 million euros without VAT.

As they said, the estimated value of the public procurement is 4,5 million euros without VAT.

"With the realization of this project, EPCG joint stock company (AD) Nikšić will install 30 megawatts /MW/ of photovoltaic systems for the production of green electricity", stated EPCG.

They said that the complete public procurement process was started at the end of September last year, adding that in nine months the company managed to implement the public procurement procedures and conclude the contracts in question.

As they pointed out, the offered equipment fully meets the technical requirements prescribed by the tender documentation, as well as modern trends in the field of power system development.

The ultimate goal of the project, as they said, is to create an opportunity for all citizens of Montenegro to actively participate in the green energy transition process by meeting their own needs for electricity through local production.

"With the conclusion of the contracts in question, all prerequisites have been created for the rapid start of work on the realization of the Solari 3000+ and 500+ project, whereby EPCG confirms that it is seriously committed to a new investment cycle, with a focus on investments in renewable energy sources, which should strengthen our company in the role of initiator of the economic development of Montenegro", according to the EPCG.
