At the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Government of Montenegro decided to return for revision the information on the consensual termination of the Bot arrangement for the Meljine-Petijevići road, which was adopted by the former Government headed by Zdravko Krivokapić at its last session.
The State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Mila Kasalica, explained at the Government session that it is necessary to supplement this information with documents related to this work, which was done by the former Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Transport from 2019, as well as the Ministry of Capital Investments until April 2022.
She said that the Ministry of Finance does not dispute the obligations, and that all tourists from all over the world are welcome, but that the popes must be searched, which, as she says, did not happen.
The company "Univerzal Monte", behind the Serbian businessman Vuk Hamović, should soon be paid four million euros from the current budget reserve for the early termination of the contract for the Meljine-Petijevići road, which was done by the government of former Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
The agreement was terminated without the consent of the Ministry of Capital Investments (MKI), which announced that it could not take over the management of this share.
"Vijesti" has learned from several sources that yesterday the Government Committee for Economic Policy considered the information on the status of the obligation related to the mutual termination of the contract on the construction, operation and transfer of the Meljine - Petijevići road and that it was concluded that the deadlines for fulfilling this obligation have expired and that four million euros must be paid, because otherwise the state would be exposed to account blocking due to the enforced document.
"At the Commission for Economic Policy (KEP) there was a discussion about the nature of this work and the need to conclude such an agreement, so it was agreed that this material should be submitted to the competent authorities to see if there were any corrupt actions in this case," said the source. "News".
Krivokapić's Government terminated the concession contract in May of last year, but did not pay the money to the company "Univerzal Monte", which filed a lawsuit in the Commercial Court.
The Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare, headed by Minister Milojko Spajić, signed an agreement on the termination of the contract, in which it was defined that the money should be paid by January 31 of this year. However, in the budget for this year, the payment of four million is not planned, but at the last session of the former Government on April 20, a conclusion was reached that this money should be paid from the current budget reserve. On April 15, the protector of the property and legal interests of the state submitted to Spajić the lawsuit filed by "Univerzal Monte" in the Commercial Court.
The President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi Stevan Katic said earlier that all allegations regarding any corrupt and illegal elements when it comes to the procedure by which the state undertook to pay the concession for the Meljine - Petijevići road are completely incorrect and without any foundation.
Defense Minister Raško Konjević said at the Government session that Spajić had promised verbally that he would terminate the Bot arrangement, and that there was no analysis of how the obligation came to cost four million euros, nor was this money foreseen in the budget.
