The collection of customs revenues in May amounted to 84,15 million euros, which is 39,32 percent more compared to the same period last year.
According to the monthly report of the Revenue and Customs Administration, in May customs funds were returned in the amount of 86,26 thousand euros and excise taxes in the amount of 563,49 thousand euros.
"The realized net collection for May amounted to 83,5 million euros", specified the Management.
Of the total collected revenues in May, 59,06 million euros were related to value added tax (VAT) on import, 21,52 million euros to excise taxes, 3,37 million euros to customs, 198,85 thousand euros to coffee tax, and 14,77 thousand euros on other incomes.
In the structure of collected excise duties, the most represented is the excise duty on mineral oils and their derivatives with 54,99 percent, then the excise duty on tobacco products with 31,72 percent, on alcohol and alcoholic beverages with 7,59 percent, and on carbonated water with 4,03 percent. .
Other income, as explained, consists of income from fines in misdemeanor proceedings, income from the sale of customs goods, interest for untimely payment of customs duties and customs duties.
