Dautović: We are looking for the synergy of state institutions when it comes to strengthening and supporting female entrepreneurship

Women should have the opportunity to work on strengthening their integrity and show their talents and potential realized in practical application, said Edita Dautović, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Montenegro.

She said this at the "Power of Women" conference organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Montenegro in cooperation with the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights of Montenegro and the Capital City of Podgorica, on May 18 and 19 in Podgorica.

"We have had enough of more ad hoc activities, we need continuous support. We are looking for the synergy of state institutions when it comes to strengthening and supporting women's entrepreneurship," said Dautović.

She thanked everyone who supported and all those who did not recognize the significance of this event.

Dautović sees the strength and power of the conference in women:

"You are the greatest power of women today, this is how we prove our power. We have had enough of more action plans, strategies, we need concrete support. Montenegro has done a lot in the development and strengthening of female entrepreneurship, but it is not enough. It can be even better . Where is the competent Ministry of Economy that adopted the Strategy of Women's Entrepreneurship as a Government document accompanying the action plan to support the development of women's entrepreneurship. We need to work on the statistics. That famous figure of 9.60% from (the first half of 2011 MONSTAT), it seems to me it was overcome a long time ago. Unofficial data is that there are somewhere around 22 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises owned by women in Montenegro. We, as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, were pioneers in the development and promotion of female entrepreneurship when we first gathered in 2013, we knew what we wanted. and what goals we will achieve with this conference," said Dautović.
