The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Admir Adrović, signed on behalf of the Government a framework agreement on the regulation of mutual relations regarding insurance tenure with an increased duration with the representative of the former workers of Kombinat Aluminijuma, Sandra Obradović.
Adrović also signed the agreement with the Acting Director of the Labor Fund, Ana Mrdović.
"This agreement enables former workers to connect their seniority with the Labor Fund, in accordance with the procedure for exercising the right to payment of unpaid claims from employers against whom bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated in accordance with general labor regulations, based on a special agreement that the worker will conclude with a representative of the Government . It will serve the Labor Fund as a legal basis for the payment of contributions for pension and disability insurance (PIO), which is calculated with increased duration," the announcement states.
The Ministry explained that after the Labor Fund pays contributions and after the Revenue and Customs Administration informs the PIO Fund that the taxes and contributions have been paid, all petitions for the PIO Fund to issue a decision recognizing the right to pension for these former employees would be fulfilled.
By the end of the year, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare will try to connect the seniority of former KAP employees, of whom there are around 120, to whom the signed agreement applies.
